your journey thru our site knowing that we love and adore every one of
our Havanese. From the adorable and playful pup to the mature and still
energetic adult, these dogs will bring much to your life. Please do not
enter into the responsibility lightly. Know that by owning a Havanese
you are spending the next 11 to 14 yrs with a perennial two year old.
Decide whether you and your family are willing to commit the time and
energy nurturing this bundle of love and entertainment.
Health tests must be done to help us know the breed better, and
remember the
first year of the Havanese's life can be an almost full time
job. Enjoy the pictures of both our show dogs that are working hard to
help set the standard, our retired champions who are also working hard
to help develop the breed to a higher and healthier standard than even
today's Havanese and our pets that we are members of our families. We
take our program very seriously....we are the keepers of these wonderful
dogs. We would expect the same from anyone who wants to own a DeVita Havanese
for pet or show ...hopefully both.
I would like to Thank all my new Puppy Owners for
working with me thru the pups homecomings and adjustments to their new homes.
This process is fun but alot of work. If the new owner can spend some quality
time at the beginning it will pay off later on when you have a happy,
housebroken and well socialized family member.
Our next litter will not be ready to go to their forever homes now til mid
summer. So as you look around for a great breeder please make sure that the
breeder does at least the minimum testings mandated by the Havanese Club of
America. Please get referrals from the local Clubs that the breeder is a member
of. If the connection between you and the breeder doesn't feel "right" move
forward. If you want to email me and ask for any suggestions I may have of
breeders with pups ready to go or almost ready to go.... I will be happy to
answer the email. I know I do not need to remind you to stay away from all Pet
Stores, Puppy Auctions or backyard Breeders. You know that!!
